What We Design Around In West Beach
Coastal Salt Exposure
West Beach shares the same wind and salt exposure as its coastal neighbours, so we use corrosion-resistant mounting hardware and connectors throughout.
Reliable Coastal Yield
With clear, unobstructed roofs facing the sea, West Beach properties generally see strong, consistent solar yield.
Family-Home Roof Profiles
West Beach’s mostly single and double-storey family homes have straightforward roof profiles well suited to solar.
Solar Installation In West Beach’s Coastal Setting
West Beach sits in the same exposed dune belt as Blouberg and Sunset Beach, meaning strong solar yield but also constant wind and salt exposure. We use corrosion-resistant mounting hardware throughout every West Beach installation to handle that coastal environment.
Sizing Your West Beach System
The suburb’s mostly single and double-storey family homes have straightforward roof profiles, letting us focus design attention on sizing the system correctly for your household.
Compliance & Registration
We handle SSEG registration and compliance certification as part of every West Beach installation.

We Don't Just Install — We Maintain
At Thermo Group, our relationship with our West Beach clients doesn’t end at installation.
We offer ongoing solar maintenance and fault-finding for West Beach properties, helping catch issues from local conditions before they affect your system’s performance. Our team can assist with panel cleaning, inverter servicing, battery health checks and general system maintenance.
Regular checks help identify potential problems before they cause an outage or affect your system’s output.
SSEG & City of Cape Town Registration
Installing a solar system is only part of the process. Where required, your system must also be properly documented and registered with the City of Cape Town.
Thermo Group can assist clients with the SSEG application and registration process, helping ensure that the required documentation, electrical compliance requirements and system information are correctly dealt with.
Our goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible for the property owner.

How long does a solar installation take in West Beach?
Most residential installations take 1 to 3 days on site, depending on system size and roof complexity, plus the time needed for approvals.
Will solar keep my West Beach home running during load shedding?

Do you handle compliance certificates for solar systems in West Beach?
Yes. We issue the Solar Certificate of Compliance your West Beach installation needs as part of the process.
Do you offer ongoing solar maintenance in West Beach after installation?
