What We Design Around In Panorama
Ridge-Top Solar Yield
Panorama’s elevated position generally means strong, unobstructed sun exposure across most roofs, good for consistent solar yield year-round.
Backup Power For Grid Fluctuation
Like much of the northern suburbs, Panorama sees demand for reliable backup power given local load shedding patterns.
Close To The N1 Corridor
Panorama’s position near the N1 means efficient access for installation teams and equipment delivery.
Solar Installation On Panorama’s Ridge-Top Homes
Panorama’s elevated position on the ridge between Parow and Plattekloof generally means strong, unobstructed sun exposure across most roofs, which supports consistent solar yield throughout the year. Most homes are established properties, so we assess roof condition and any existing wiring before finalising a system design.
Sizing Your Panorama System
Given local load shedding patterns, we see steady demand for reliable backup power in Panorama, and we size battery capacity around your household’s actual essential circuits.
Compliance & Registration
We handle SSEG registration and compliance certification as part of every Panorama installation.

We Don't Just Install — We Maintain
At Thermo Group, our relationship with our Panorama clients doesn’t end at installation.
We offer ongoing solar maintenance and fault-finding for Panorama properties, helping catch issues from local conditions before they affect your system’s performance. Our team can assist with panel cleaning, inverter servicing, battery health checks and general system maintenance.
Regular checks help identify potential problems before they cause an outage or affect your system’s output.
SSEG & City of Cape Town Registration
Installing a solar system is only part of the process. Where required, your system must also be properly documented and registered with the City of Cape Town.
Thermo Group can assist clients with the SSEG application and registration process, helping ensure that the required documentation, electrical compliance requirements and system information are correctly dealt with.
Our goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible for the property owner.

How long does a solar installation take in Panorama?
Most residential installations take 1 to 3 days on site, depending on system size and roof complexity, plus the time needed for approvals.
Will solar keep my Panorama home running during load shedding?
