An electrical emergency is anything that puts your home, family or property at risk right now — total power loss, a distribution board that won’t reset, a burning smell, sparking plug points or exposed wiring.
We prioritise emergency callouts in Noordhoek and aim to be on-site quickly, especially for no-power and safety-risk faults. Our electricians carry the tools and stock to diagnose and fix most faults on the first visit.

What We Design Around In Noordhoek
Smallholding-Style Larger Plots
Noordhoek’s semi-rural character means many properties sit on larger smallholding-style plots, often with outbuildings and stables needing their own sub-circuits.
Wetland-Adjacent Properties
Properties near Noordhoek’s wetlands and long beach see higher humidity and drainage considerations than drier inland suburbs.
Further From Substation Infrastructure
Noordhoek’s distance from central substations can mean more noticeable grid fluctuation during load shedding transitions, which we account for in backup and DB planning.
Electrical Work Across Noordhoek’s Semi-Rural Valley
Noordhoek has a semi-rural character unlike most of Cape Town, a coastal valley near Sun Valley and Kommetjie known for its long beach, wetlands and horse-riding culture. Many properties sit on larger smallholding-style plots with outbuildings and stables needing their own sub-circuits, and the suburb’s distance from central substations can mean more noticeable grid fluctuation during load shedding transitions.
Wiring Noordhoek’s Larger Properties And Outbuildings
Stables, outbuildings and larger gardens common on Noordhoek’s smallholding-style plots often need their own sub-DB boards. We plan circuit layouts around the whole property, not just the main house.
Grid Stability On Noordhoek’s Outer Edge
Being further from central substations, Noordhoek properties can see more noticeable voltage fluctuation. We factor this into backup power and DB board recommendations.

We Don't Just Fix It — We Make It Safe
Once the immediate emergency is resolved, we don’t just pack up and go.
We check the rest of the installation for related risks in Noordhoek properties. If further repairs or an upgrade are needed, we’ll explain exactly what and why before doing any work.
Our goal is to leave your property safe, not just powered on again.
Need A Compliance Certificate After The Repair?
If emergency repairs affected your wiring, distribution board or earthing, you may need an updated Electrical Certificate of Compliance (COC) — particularly if you’re selling or renewing insurance.
Thermo Group can issue the certificate once your installation meets requirements, so you deal with one team from emergency repair to certification.
We’ll let you know if this applies to your situation.
