What a gas inspection checks
Our registered gas practitioner checks the installation for leaks with a pressure test, inspects appliance connections, hoses and regulators, checks that the room is properly ventilated and that gas cylinders are stored and positioned safely, and checks flues where fitted. If something fails, we tell you what has to be fixed before a certificate can be issued.

A gas certificate of compliance starts from R550 for a house and R480 for a flat or sectional title on a cash sale, and R680 and R550 on a property transfer. Do I need a gas certificate to sell my house?
If the property has a gas installation, a gas certificate of compliance is normally required for the sale. Your agent or conveyancer will confirm it. We can issue it together with your other certificates in one visit where possible.
